Sapignies itself and Courcelles are approximately in the middle of the map which carries a depiction of the âApproximate British Front Line, 9am - 17-8-18â. The map also shows the location of âHostile Battery Positions visible on photographsâ and areas âcontaining Hostile Battery Positions not yet located by photographsâ. The batteries are all numbered (AX36, AX27, for example and AY16).
