The 2014 D-Day Anniversary Air Show at The Imperial War Museum Duxford commemorated the 70th anniversary of the decisive military operation. Displays highlighting the vital role that aerial warfare played in the invasion of Normandy included no less than five Douglas C-47 Skytrains. Four of these aircraft flew a co-ordinated display which included a drop by the Parachute Regiment's Red Devils in a fitting tribute to events 70 years ago.
Special features on the DVD and Blu-ray will be extended in-cockpit interactive sequences giving the choice to switch between ground and on board cameras during the display.
